What is your online tutoring platform like?
Sessions take place using Zoom’s audio/video conferencing and online whiteboard. With real-time audio-video communication, students stay engaged in the lessons. The interactive whiteboard and screen-sharing tools makes it easy to share information and take notes.
What advantages does online tutoring offer?
Online tutoring offers several advantages over traditional tutoring and self-study, including better results, greater productivity, convenience, availability, and affordable pricing.
Better Results: While there are resources to help with self-study and some students find success with that, it is not the easiest route to success because it relies on complete self-motivation and the ability to create study plans that will lead to success. With self-study, students also do not have the chance to receive feedback. Their progress is therefore likely to be slower than it would be with tutoring.
Greater Productivity: Tutoring gives you time for test prep. Having the best study plan to achieve your goals increases your productivity by allowing you to achieve more results in less time.
Convenience: Traditional tutoring has been in person, requiring traveling to a prearranged physical location. Online tutoring takes place in an online meeting platform, cutting out the need for transportation.
Availability: Online tutoring makes it so that location is not a restriction. For example, if a student in China wants SAT tutoring, I can meet with them just as easily as someone who lives ten minutes from me. I am accessible to anyone regardless of location.
Affordable Pricing: By using efficient technology and cutting out transportation costs, online tutoring offers the additional advantage of affordable pricing in comparison to in-person tutoring.
